In this section the lead acid batteries are crushed and separated to the following components: Lead paste, Metal fraction, Electrolyte and Plastic.
The waste-electrolyte and the lead paste are subjected to desulfatisation, resulting a desulfatised lead paste and a solution of sodium sulfate.
The sodium sulfate solution is being concentrated in vacuum evaporator to obtain the finished product - Sodium sufate.
